Story
Colin Phillips & Josh Sharpe met on their first day of kindergarten at Fayston Elementary School which sits at the base of Sugarbush Ski Resort. A few decades later they have joined forces to own and operate Mad River Valley's premiere rental management service provider.
Colin grew up in Fayston, Vermont in the Mad River Valley and graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor's Degree in Economics in 2008. Having spent many of the following years living and working as an energy professional in various states, he found his way back home to the Mad River Valley, a place that is near and dear to his heart. He founded MRVRM with the goal to help homeowners navigate the waters of vacation rental management and get the best experience they can get out of renting their home with the care and trust they deserve all while maximizing return on their investment. During his free time, he can be found on a local stream fly fishing, hiking in the woods, or paddling Blueberry Lake.

Josh also grew up in Fayston and later graduated from the University of Vermont. He has travelled all over the world following his passion and love for the outdoors & photography and lived for nearly a decade in the Swiss Alps until moving back to the Mad River Valley with his family in 2021. Growing up in a family that has been renting properties in the Mad River Valley since he was a child, Josh was delighted to partner with Colin in MRVRM and truly enjoys working in a mix of realestate and the local tourism of the Valley. In his free time you might find him skiing up at Mad River Glen or enjoying time outdoors with his wife and son.
